Adriano Gemelli’s latest exhibition explores the paradoxes of perception and transformation through the pioneering medium of holospectral art.
Titled Loose ends … and beginnings, the exhibition reflects the philosophical axiom that every ending holds within it the seeds of a new beginning.
Gemelli challenges the viewer’s understanding of finality and continuity, stating: “The empty glass is not vacuous, it is a problem of perception & need.” This idea flows through his innovative use of holograms, faux gold, resin, metal leaf, and graphite—materials chosen for their dynamic, mutable properties.
Each piece is paired with haiku-inspired titles, serving not merely as labels but as standalone poetic artworks. These short poetic prompts deepen the viewer’s interaction, inviting contemplation and personal interpretation. In this space, art becomes not a conclusion, but an invitation to new dialogue—a beginning disguised as an end.
